Effie D. Miller, 83

Effie D. Miller, 83, of 11962 Emerson Road, Apple Creek, died on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her home following a brief illness.

She was born in Holmes County on May 14, 1939 to the late David and Saloma (Mast) Miller and on April 4, 1961 she married Paul E. Weaver. He died on July 7, 1967. On May 16, 1991 she married Jacob D. Miller. He died on April 5, 2006.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by children, Melvin (Marie) Weaver of the home and Anna (Jonas) Yoder of Dundee; step-children, Freeman (Lois) Miller of Wilmington, DE., Paul Miller of Dalton, John (Anna) Miller of Fredericksburg, Steve (MaryAnn) Miller of Fredericksburg, Ella (Abe) Raber of Dundee, Iva Mae (Aden) Weaver of Danville and Martha (Danny) Miller of Dalton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 49 step-grandchildren; 181 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Jonas D. Miller of Millersburg; sisters, Anna Swartzentruber, Ella Troyer, Esther Hershberger, and Lydiann (Raymond) Yoder of Fredericksburg; sisters-in-law, Erma Miller of Fredericksburg, Dora Miller of Apple Creek, Edna Miller of Mt. Hope, Lydiann Miller of Fredericksburg; and step-sister-in-law, Barbara Wengerd.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by brothers, Alfred, Elmer, Levi, Mike, and Leroy; sisters, Susie and Mary; in-laws, Katie Miller, John Miller, Atlee Wengerd, Anna Miller, and Melvin Hershberger.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 9:30 am at the family residence with Bishop Roman E. Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime in the afternoon on Monday, and anytime on Tuesday. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
