1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
I grew up in the community and raised my kids here. I have had so many great moments in the schools as a student, teacher, coach and parent. I feel blessed to come to work every day in a place that means so much. When I combine this with the friends I’ve made in the District, it is easy to say I love working at Dalton Local Schools.

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I attended Dalton Schools from beginning to end. Thanks to my high school social studies teachers, Pat Holbert and Bob Ramsay, I pursued a degree in teaching. I began working in Dalton Schools during the fall of 1995 as a Jr. High football coach and substitute teacher. I was hired as a full-time special education teacher at Dalton Jr. High for the 1996-97 school year. I want to thank Mr. Milton Troyer, a long-time Dalton teacher and principal for giving me the opportunity that launched my career. I am entering my 28th year of teaching and I still love it. I am privileged to have taught so many amazing kids and to work with some truly dedicated staff. These are the people that keep me striving to make a difference and enjoy my job!

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
My wife and I went through Dalton Schools together. We met when we were 5 when we both attended Kindergarten together at Dalton Elementary.
