Jeanette E. (Law) Wingerter, 97
Dalton — Jeannette E. (Law) Wingerter, age 97, of Dalton, formerly of Orrville, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Jeannette was born on April 29, 1925, in Grafton Township, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Mildred (Jenkins) Law and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1943. She married Howard J. Wingerter on June 27, 1946, in Covington, KY. Howard passed away on July 29, 2014.
She was the secretary and chief gofer for her husband’s home development business
Jeannette attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping and traveling the entire United States with the exception of Hawaii and spent many years wintering in Florida. Jeannette would say her life was an adventure and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Jerri Lynn (Hank) Troyer of Orrville, and Jackie Lee (Dave) Bateman of Louisville; a son, Jeff Wingerter of Moreland; five grandchildren, Tony (Jody) Troyer of Orrville, Kevin (Karen) Troyer of Wadsworth, Robyn Troyer of Knoxville, TN, Aaron (Tiffany) Bateman of Orrville, and Rachel Bateman of Louisville; eight great grandchildren, Kyle Troyer, Garrett Troyer, Addison Troyer, Kaitlyn Troyer, Kinsey Troyer, Kylie Miller, Paige Miller, and Anna Miller; a sister, Carol Cullin of Medina; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Law of Litchfield, and Vi Wingerter of Silver Lake.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Merle and Joseph Law.
Friends may call on November 9, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1556 Rex Drive, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on November 9, 2022, at the church, with Rev. Dr. David Rittgers officiating.
