John B. Cyrus, Jr., 55
RITTMAN — John B. Cyrus, Jr., age 55, of Rittman, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at Akron City Hospital, following a period of declining health.
John was born on February 20, 1967, in Rittman, to John B. Cyrus and Gwynell Miller. He graduated from Jewett-Scio High School, drove truck for the last 25 years, and always wanted to go panning for gold.
Surviving are his father, John Cyrus of Orrville; daughters, Carrie Spencer and Jasmine Farly; three siblings, James Cyrus of FL, Melinda Mae Jones of SC, and Mitchell (Lori) Cyrus of Orrville; and two step-sisters, Billie Jean (Jake) Freetage of Killbuck and Rachel (Bill) Erwin of Scio.
He was preceded in death by step-mother, Mildred May Cyrus.
Cremation will take place and services will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Good News Baptist Church, 238 N. Milton St., Smithville, with Pastor Al Pacheco officiating.
