Elaine (Immler) Puskar, 94, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022. She was a life resident of the Akron area, most recently residing at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Barberton. Elaine was a 1946 graduate of Norton High School. After graduation, Elaine went to nursing school becoming a Registered Nurse working at Barberton Citizens Hospital. While working at the hospital, she met her husband, Dr. Ted Puskar.

Elaine had a love of all sports, but her passion was for the Cleveland Indians. She touched many people’s lives throughout her nursing career. Elaine was a member of King’s Way Alliance Church in Akron and attended services regularly prior to moving to Pleasant Point/Pleasant View Nursing Home until her death.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ted Puskar, and her son, Andrew C. Couch, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Immler of Wadsworth, Mary Gauger of NY, Martha Hampton of Wadsworth, and brother, David Immler of Norton. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Chuck) Krichbaum; granddaughter, Alyson (Rodney) Torgerson; great-granddaughters, Sophie and Laycee all of Anchorage, Alaska; sister-in-law, Arline Immler, of Norton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Campfield-Hickman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
