1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
I love that I was able to come back and teach in the district where I grew up. It’s so fun to have the children of people I went to school with, and to be able to see my nieces, nephews, and cousins in the halls! I’m excited for my own kids to start here as well.

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I went to Muskingum College for my bachelor’s degree and to Ashland University for my master’s degree. I was a substitute for a couple of years, then a preschool teacher for several years. I also taught at a school for kids with behavioral disorders, and finally got my dream job here. I’ve been teaching here since 2015. I have had many teachers who’ve inspired me throughout the years. I’m thankful I get to teach alongside many of those teachers now.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
I love music, playing piano, and singing. I’ve also been skydiving!
