Marie was well known for her contagious laugh and big smile, lighting up any room she walked into. She loved big and made sure everyone around her felt the love she had for them. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and many other community groups. She founded the National Honor Society at the Wayne County Schools Career Center, which in 2000 was renamed the WCSCC National Honor Society Marie Chenevey Chapter.
