Reason for selection:
Mrs. Miller is a brilliant star on the DES staff. Working with kindergarten demands patience, sensitively, caring and Mrs. Miller exemplifies them all. She works hard everyday to help her students learn the basics of education and self care all at the same time.

1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
I love the people that surround me at school. My team of teachers are so supportive and we work together so well. Also, my family is all in the district and it is so fun to all be here together every day. We have great families and students here at Dalton as well.

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up wanting to be a teacher. I went to Wooster City Schools and then attended Capital University in Columbus. I moved back to the area and have taught at Northwestern Local and now have been in Dalton for around 19 years.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
I love to travel and have traveled out west three times in a camper. Each time our family has hiked, kayaked and explored many national parks.
