Pamela S. Gerber

DALTON – Pamela S. Gerber, age 78, passed away on December 8, 2022.

Born on September 14, 1944 in Canton, OH to the late Charles T. “CT” and Ethel M. (Marty) Woodruff, she was a lifelong resident of the Dalton and Kidron area.  A graduate of both Dalton High School and the Aultman School of Nursing, she retired from Midwest Health Services and had previously worked at Dunlap Hospital and various other doctor’s offices as well as hospice.  Pam attended Living Water Community Church and had a passion for music and the piano.  She had sung in various choirs and played the slide trombone in the All Girls Marching Band and enjoyed being a cheerleader during her high school years.  She also enjoyed reading books (especially her Bible), spending time with her cats, and was very knowledgeable about most things.  Pam loved her plants and flowers as well as playing table games with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Diane Gerber.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald R. Gerber; children, Jeremy Gerber of Dalton, Jenece Gerber (Ruth) of Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Brandon (Kelsie) Gerber, Brooke (Curtis) Richards; great grandchildren, Clara, Miles, and Brenda; brothers, John (Laura) Woodruff, Francis (Linda) Woodruff, Robert (Diana) Woodruff; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Living Water Community Church, 200 N. Kurzen Rd., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastors Mark Hirst and Dan Hostetler co-officiating.  Burial will take place at Dalton Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Water Community Church or Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH, 44691.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
