Dalton to discuss fire/EMS service at town hall meeting at DHS auditorium

DALTON  Village council is planning a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Dalton High School auditorium to discuss East Wayne Fire District and both long- and short-term options for fire and EMS coverage for the village of Dalton.

The meeting is open to the public.

Council requests that village residents submit questions or comments in writing by noon Wednesday, Dec. 14 via email to townhall@daltonohio.gov. This is to make sure frequently-asked questions will be covered at the meeting, according to information provided by village council. Questions submitted in writing the night of the meeting “will be addressed if time allows,” the public notice states.

The notice also is posted on the village website at villageofdalton.us.

Dalton Village Council also called for a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at Village Hall to discuss EWFD and long- and short-term options for fire/EMS coverage.

Village Council’s next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 at Village Hall.
