Mrs. Mohn creates a positive and energetic relationship with her students. She works hard each day to make sure they are as successful as possible at DMS. She is a big part of our team and does many things to help our programs and activities be enjoyable for our students and staff. We appreciate all she does for Dalton Local schools!

1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
I love Dalton Local because of the hard working and dedicated staff, the wonderful community that continues to support us, and the amazing students we get to serve each day.

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I have an Undergraduate Degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University. Then, I received my Master’s in Education from Malone University and began teaching at Dalton Middle School in 2019. I decided to become a teacher after I had my own children. My children gave me a different perspective about the role I wanted to play in the lives of others.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.
If someone would have asked me 10, 20, 30 years ago what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have never said a teacher. Now that I am a teacher, I couldn’t be happier! I am so lucky I get to do what I love every day surrounded by exceptional people.
