Christine Nussbaum, 89

Galion — Christine Nussbaum, age 89, of Galion, formerly of Orrville, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Signature Health Care in Galion, following a period of declining health.

Christine was born on August 17, 1933, in Kidron, Ohio, to the late Simon and Sarah (Newenschwander) Nussbaum and graduated from Dalton High School in 1933 and attended OIB in Wooster.

She did secretarial work for L.E. Sommer in Kidron, State Farm in Wooster and Diebold, Inc. for many years.

Surviving are a sibling Thomas Nussbaum of NC; a niece, Margaret Sebrell of Galion; and a nephew Ron Badertscher of Mansfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Howard Nussbaum, Luther Nussbaum, Nora Nussbaum, Miriam Nussbaum, and Irene Badertscher.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home, with Carlton Schooley and Ray Miller officiating. A private family burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.
