Leona E. Petersheim, 37

Leona E. Petersheim, 37, of Maysville, passed away  peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, December 24, 2022 after a courageous 4 month battle with cancer.

She was born in Wayne County on February 10, 1985 to Ezra and Katie (Hershberger) Petersheim.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to her parents she is survived by siblings, Ruth, Rosetta, and Wesley Petersheim of the home, Edna (Nelson) Hershberger of Apple Creek, Marty (Mary) Petersheim of Dover, Christina (Mose) Nisley of Fredericksburg, Mary (David) Nisley of Apple Creek, and Nathan (Neva) Petersheim of Wooster; 10 nieces; 14 nephews; 3 great nieces; 4 great nephews; her dear school children, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by both grandmothers, and both grandfathers, a brother, Daniel Petersheim; a nephew, Larry; a great-niece, Lily; and 2 great-nephew still borns.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 9:00 am at the former Maysville Fabric Store in Maysville, with Bishop Roman Eicher officiating. Burial will follow in Maysville Cemetery. Friends may call anytime on Sunday or Monday. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
The family would like to thank everyone for the help that was given. Special thanks to the Timken Family Cancer Center and the nurses and doctors of Aultman Hospital for their care.

She died as she lived, as everyone’s friend!
