Donald R. Blumenstock, 61

MARSHALLVILLE — Donald R. Blumenstock of Marshallville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on January 7th, 2023. He was only 61 years old. The family is both devastated and shocked by his death.  Donald was born on October 28th, 1961 in Hoboken, NJ to Albert Blumenstock Sr. and Joan Blumenstock.

Donald took pride in his work. He worked at Asplundh Tree Expert for 30 years where he worked beside his brothers and nephews. Donald enjoyed being outside in the sun and was never bothered by the heat. His favorite was sleeping on the porch when it rained and in the sun on the beach. Everyone who knew Donald felt his big heart and giving nature. You could find Donald on the weekends working in his yard, cooking a new recipe, spending time with his family, fishing, watching football, and enjoying a nice drink.

He married the love of his life Kelly on May 15th, 2004. They were together for 34 years.

Donald is survived by his wife Kelly. Daughters – Nicole (Jerold Jr.), Emma-Lee, Ginny (Dick), and Brittany. Grandchildren – Jerold III, Bosco, Mia, Maddie, Lydia, Hayden, Colton, and Raelynn. Brothers – Corey (Debbie) and Mike (Sandy). Sister – Tishie. Sister in Law – Cindy. Nephews – Corey Jr. (Donna), Jeremy, Mikey, Albert III, Timmy, Dan Jr., Bobby. Nieces – Carissa (Harry), Heidi, Gretchen, Samantha. Best Friend – Dan. Brother in law – Todd (Maechell). Dogs – Simba and Bentley. Many great nieces and nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Joan, father Albert Sr., brother Albert Jr., sister Darlene, brother in law Ralph, nephew Donny, mother in law Bernadine, father in law George.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Services will follow at 7:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Don E. Bolich officiating.
