1. What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
The most important thing about a career is that you love what you do. I truly love coming to work every day because of the kids here at Dalton. It is a unique place because of the makeup of the student body and their love for learning and respectful behavior. We have the most caring, hardest working, and overall best kids in Ohio!

2. How did you get to where you are today?
I have a BA in History with a focus in American History and BA in Education, integrated social studies 7-12, a master’s in educational technology and the masters equivalence course work in American History.
I have been teaching eighteen years, fifteen of them teaching American History, and eleven of them teaching at Dalton.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher and a coach from the time I was in high school. I had some of the best teachers and coaches around and I wanted to do the same for kids that those teachers and coaches did for me.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that people would be surprised to hear.

I love to travel the United States, going to places that are either historical or off the beaten path or both. My family and I travel a lot during school breaks and over the summer.
We often set an end destination and spend the trip trying to find cool and interesting places to stop on the way, a true road trip.
