Edward York, 92

ORRVILLE — Edward York, age 92, of Orrville, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at Orrvilla Maple Terrace in Orrville, following a period of declining health.

Edward was born on September 18, 1930, in Dover, Ohio, to the late Tom and Lillian (Kelly) York.  He married Carmella Mongelluzzo on November 19, 1952, in Hempstead, NY.

He worked as a grinder for Republic Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1986.

Ed enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Brewster Anglers Club. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his family.

Surviving are two sons, Steven (Janice) York of Galloway and David (Kathy) York of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Sherry Clark of Orrville; four grandchildren, Shawn (Charlene) Clark, Allison Clark, Stephanie (Lance) Fox, and Jeff (Nicole) Clark; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Gerry) York; sister, Norma Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carmella York; and seven brothers and sisters.

Burial will take place at the North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
