Dolores “Dee” Werner, 92

Orrville — Dolores “Dee” Werner, age 92, of Orrville, formerly of New Castle, PA, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Dee was born on May 7, 1930, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Steve and Mary (Nemeth) Wheale and graduated from New Castle High School.  She married Clarence B. Werner, and they were married for 58 wonderful years before Clarence’s passing on February 28, 2019.
She worked in real estate sales and for W.T. Grant Department Store in New Castle, PA, retiring in 1992.
Dee was a member of the American Legion, Post 282, and the Swiss Club.  She was a very well put together woman; even if she wasn’t leaving the house she would get dressed up and put on some lipstick. Above all else Dee cherished her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.
Surviving are three daughters, Toni Fry of Erie, PA, Cindy (Jerry) Calame of Locust Gap, PA, and Mary Weber of Alliance; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son Michael A. Clavelli; son-in-law, David Weber; brother, Steve Wheale; sister, Evelyn Handlos; and brother-in-law, Bob Handlos.

A memorial will be held at a later date. A private family burial of ashes will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
