31-year-old Seville woman dies in two-vehicle crash Feb. 27
CANAAN TWP. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 4:23 p.m. Feb. 27 on State Route 3 north of Pleasant Home Road in Canaan Township in Wayne County.
The crash involved a black 2021 Kia Seltos driven by Raven N. Park, 31, of Seville, Ohio, and a black 2007 Jeep Cherokee driven by Damon C. Hart, age 33, of Chippewa Lake, Ohio, according to a news release from the OSHP.
Initial investigation revealed the Jeep Cherokee was southbound on State Route 3. The Kia was traveling northbound on State Route 3. Hart’s vehicle traveled left of center striking Park’s vehicle head on, the OSHP news release states. After impact the Kia traveled off the right side of the roadway.
Park was pronounced deceased at the scene and Hart was transported by Canaan Township Fire Department to Akron General Hospital with serious life threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Reconstruction Unit, Wayne County Coroner’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted on scene.
Alcohol does not seem to be a factor in this crash. Both drivers were belted. The crash remains under investigation.
