Kevin Joseph McAllister, 44

WOOSTER — Kevin Joseph McAllister, age 44, of Wooster, formerly of Orrville, died Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic, following a year and a half battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer.
Kevin was born on March 8, 1979, in Orrville, to James and Rita (Dowdell) McAllister and graduated from Orrville High School 1997.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Cum Laude) from the College of Wooster in 2001 and earned a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2004.  He married Kiley M. Musyt on April 22, 2006, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster.
He worked as the Vice President, Director of Wealth Management for The Commercial and Savings Bank “CSB” for the last 16 years.
Kevin was a member of the Wayne County Bar Association, Wooster Noon Lions (Past-President), and several local boards, including Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County (Past President) and the Viola Startzman Clinic.  He enjoyed anything outdoors, golf, skiing and playing on the St. Agnes softball team.  He also enjoyed cooking and watching Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football.  He will be remembered as a loving family man and a loyal friend.  His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his boys.
Surviving are his wife, Kiley M. McAllister; three sons, Quinn, Kieran, and Aiden McAllister, all of the home; two brothers, Ryan (Karrie) McAllister of Orrville and Patrick (Jenny) McAllister of Cincinnati; parents-in-law, Michael and Linda Musyt of Wooster; sister-in-law, Ashleigh (Jamie) Best of Wooster; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Rory Michael McAllister.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Avenue, Wooster, with Celebrants, Fr. Stephen Moran and Fr. Richard Samide. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm or on Saturday the 13th prior to the service in St. Mary’s Parish Center from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at The Commercial & Savings Bank, 3562 Commerce Parkway Wooster, Ohio 44691 for the benefit of Quinn, Kieran, and Aiden McAllister.
