Wayne County Health Department continue to offer Covid-19 vaccine At-Home Test Kits at no charge to residents

WOOSTER As of May 11, the Federal Government has declared the end of the Public Health Emergency. And while some benefits and funding related to the
Covid‐19 pandemic may go away for citizens and entities, the Wayne County Health Department will continue to offer Covid‐19 vaccines and Covid‐19 at home test kits at no
charge to any resident of Wayne County, according to a news release.
“We are in a better place with Covid‐19 in knowing how to stop the spread and to mitigate the virus much more so now than we did three years ago. The best way to prevent getting or at
least getting very sick from Covid‐19 is by getting vaccinated against it,“ according to Patty Reining RN, Director of Community Health for the Wayne County Health Department.
The Wayne County Health Department offers walk in clinics with no appointment necessary to get the Covid‐19 vaccine from 8:30am‐11:30am and 1:00pm ‐4:00pm Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday at our clinic located at 203 S. Walnut St.in Wooster. You can also pick up a free Covid‐19 test kit anytime during normal business hours at either our clinic office at 203 S.
Walnut or our Environmental Office located at 428 W. Liberty in Wooster. It is advisable to call before you come to get a test kit as inventory fluctuates.
