DALTON The village has its traditional Memorial Day parade Monday, May 29 and anyone is welcome to participate.
Participants are asked not to pass out candy or any sort of literature as this parade is a community event focused on honoring those who have fought for our country and gone before us.
As in the past, the parade will end at Dalton Village Cemetery and Pastor Sally Fusek will lead the program at the cemetery. Units at previous parades have included Boy Scouts, emergency vehicles and families riding bicycles decorated with patriotic themes.
The event is organized by Dalton Boy Scout Troop 922, Cub Scout Pack 922 and Dalton Presbyterian Church.
Parade lineup 9:30-9:45 a.m. at Dalton High School. The parade will step off promptly at 10 a.m.
