M. Louvone McHenry, 92

ORRVILLE — M. Louvone McHenry, age 92, of Orrville, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Accord Care Community in Orrville, following a period of declining health.

Louvone was born on January 22, 1931, in Gilmer County, West Virginia, to the late Worthy and Madeline (Frashure) Helmick. She married Claude E. McHenry Sr. on July 21, 1946, in Linn, WV. Claude preceded her in death on April 20, 2013.

She worked as a LPN for many years and was a member of Orrville Christian Church, where she participated in the Faithful Followers Class, and was previously active with the Kidney Foundation of Wayne County. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, playing Scrabble and was an avid reader.

Surviving are five children, Mary (Jim) Saunders of Canton, Linda (Junior) Kerns of Clyde, Sheila (Doug) VanZile of Beaufort, SC, Richard McHenry of Ocala, FL, Sally (Keith) Hartzler of Sterling; eleven grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by children, Eugene McHenry Jr. and Naomi Jackson; four brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Orrville Christian Church, 925 North Elm Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

Services will follow at 11:00 am on Friday, at the church, with Pastor Tom Leford officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
