ORRVILLE — Mark Christopher Miller, age 73, of Orrville, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the J. T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Fairlawn, following a period of declining health due to lung cancer.
He was born on May 5, 1950, in Wadsworth, to the late Joseph Roland and Mary Luella (Moran) Miller and attended Orrville High School. He married Deborah Kaye Smith on July 21, 1970. Deborah died on March 25, 2020.
Mark was a State Certified Welder, working in several different shops, last working for Rupp Construction in Marshallville for the bulk of his career.
He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, and military memorabilia.
He is survived by sons, Ruben James (Becky) Miller of Silver Lake and Roaland William Miller of Abilene, TX; a daughter, Louise Ruth Miller of Cuyahoga Falls; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three siblings, Gloria Faye Wriston of Mansfield, Fraun (Roger) Holcolmb of WV, and Blanche Virginianne Weibe of FL; and a sister-in-law, Carole Miller of Wooster.
In addition to his wife, Deborah, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Charles Miller; and a brother Roland Dale Miller; and a grandson, Dominic Miller.
There will be no public service and burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
