What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?

I love being back in the place I call home and teaching alongside some of the teachers that inspired me to go into the education field. I graduated from Dalton in 2011 and have so many great memories from my time in the schools. I married my high school sweetheart, Gavin, I still get together with my friends from high school, and I look forward to sending my two daughters to Dalton.

How did you get where you are today?

I started teaching in 2015 at the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabili-ties Southgate School for 3 years. In 2018, my husband and I relocated and I taught at Galion High School for 4 years. This past year, we finally moved home and I’m grateful for the opportunity to teach at my alma mater.

Please share an interesting little known fact about yourself.

I was a collegiate cheerleader for 3 years at The University of Akron. In 2013 I was selected to cheer at the Akron vs. University of Michigan game in the Big House where Akron almost beat Michigan. Go Zips!!
