Kenneth Edward “Ken” Staley, 88

ORRVILLE — Kenneth Edward “Ken” Staley, age 88, of Orrville, died Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, following a short period of declining health.
Ken was born on July 20, 1934, in Prichard, West Virginia, to the late John and Elizabeth (Perdue) Staley, graduated from Buffalo High School (WV) in 1952, and married Shirley Ann Sedor on July 10, 1954, in Orrville.  Shirley died on March 2, 2014.
He worked in construction and then as a boilermaker for various employers for 42 years, retiring in 1994.
Ken was a member of the Boy Scouts, Knights of Columbus, and a was 20 year volunteer for the Orrville Fire Department.  He enjoyed motor sports, including motorcycle road racing and NASCAR.  He also was an avid Cleveland Browns and OSU Buckeyes fan.
Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl W. Archer of FL; son, Michael E. (Kim) Staley of Orrville; daughter-in-law, Melanie (Craig) Queen of Minford; seven grandchildren, Samantha Archer, Drew Archer, Rachel (Chris Oglesby) Staley, Michelle (Will) Moore, Desire’ (Ryan Zukowski) Staley, Matthew Staley, and Elise (Dustin) Fletcher; five great grandchildren, Skylar, Colstin and Easton Fletcher, and  Charlotte and Alexandra Staley.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven C. Staley; and eight siblings.
A private burial of cremated remains will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
