Julie A. Chappell, 38
Julie A. Chappell, age 38, of Powell, formerly of Dalton, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Julie was born on July 29, 1984, in Wooster, Ohio, to Alan and Debra (Schloneger) Harder.
She graduated from Dalton High School in 2003. Julie went on to further her education at Kent State University where she graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. She then pursued her MBA at Ohio University, graduating in 2012. Julie worked for Delaware County Auditor’s Office.
Julie was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Columbus and the GFOA.
She enjoyed hiking, running, participating in marathons, bike rides and board games with Lucas. Julie loved trips to the beach, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family, friends, and especially her son, Lucas.
Surviving are son, Lucas Chappell of Powell; parents, Alan and Deb Harder of Dalton; brother, Matthew (Tara) Harder of Myrtle Beach, SC; niece and nephew, Paige and Braxton Harder of Myrtle Beach, SC; maternal grandmother, Helena Schloneger of Dalton; paternal grandfather, William Harder of Dalton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Ronald Schloneger; and paternal grandmother, Barbara Harder.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Cornerstone Community Church, 18600 Davis Road, Dalton, with Pastor Shane Johnson officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Following the service, the family is inviting everyone to join them in fellowship.
