MARSHALLVILLE Fire destroyed a resident’s detached garage June 4 along state Route 94 south of Marshallville.
Six trucks from East Wayne Fire District with 11 personnel responded to the call, which came in at 5:49 p.m., according to Roger Falb, East Wayne Fire District chief.
Mutual aid was provided by Orrville Fire, Rittman Fire and Chippewa Township fire departments.
“With quick response from everyone the fire was mostly contained to the garage,” according to an East Wayne Fire District Facebook post.
Falb said he would like to extend special thanks to Marshallville Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff and Ohio Division of Natural Resources officer for traffic control. Falb said he also would like to thank Howmar Carpet for opening up their business to the crews for any hydration needed.
Falb said no injuries were reported. Last week, the investigation into the cause was still ongoing.
