Avenell “Abby” Yerian

Orrville — Avenell “Abby” Yerian, age 81, of Orrville, died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Orrville Pointe JAG Healthcare in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Abby was born on March 18, 1942, in Freeburn, Kentucky, to the late Isaac and Rebecca (Davis) Sipple and graduated from Rittman High School in 1961.  She married Roy on July 24, 1976, in Rittman. Roy died on June 27, 2007.
She worked as a Press Operator for Rubbermaid for 22 years, retiring on November 23, 1992.
Abby was a member and secretary for Baughman Grange, where she was awarded the 25 Year Grange Pen Award, member of the Orrville Christian Church, and The Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, painting ceramics, watching T.V. especially Matlock and Walker Texas Ranger, her favorite t.v. channel was the Hallmark channel, enjoyed sports especially the Cleveland teams, and spending time with her family especially around the holidays, Christmas in particular.
Surviving are four sisters, Brenda Franks of Wooster, Wilma Gunnels of West Salem, Betty Ellis of Wooster, and Sandra Wilson of Wichita, KS; brother, Larry (Sandy) Sipple of Wilmington, NC; step-son, Mark (Brenda) Mowrer of Greenville, TN., and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by, step-son, Craig Mowrer; brother, Louis Sipple, brothers-in-law, James Franks, George Gunnels, and Jerry Wilson.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, at Auble Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will take place at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
