Karen Fittler, 70

Orrville — Karen Fittler, age 70, of Orrville, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a brief period of declining health.

Karen was born on February 27, 1953, in Wooster, Ohio, to the late Edwin and Lillian (Keller) Shellhorn and graduated from Triway High School and Wayne County Career Center in 1971.  She married Randall B. on May 19, 1974, in Smithville. Randall died on January 27, 1992.

She worked as a clerk for Buehler’s Fresh Foods in Orrville for 49 years and was still working.

Karen was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was very active at the church where she would go three times a week, enjoyed spending time with her dogs, and loved making cards and sending them to loved ones.

Surviving are two daughters, Christina (Jim) Hamilton-Petras of North Royalton, and Linda Fittler of Orrville; grandchild, Cheyene Hamilton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, David Shellhorn.

Friends may call on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 E. Pleasant Home Rd. Sterling,  from 4 pm to 7 pm as well as, one hour prior to the service.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the Wooster Cemetery in Wooster.
