Goodwill Donation Center opening in Dalton

DGKN staff report

DALTON Goodwill has a grand opening event of its newest Donation Center 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at 27 S Cochran St.

The new Donation Center offers a convenient location for community members to donate gently used clothing, furniture, electronics, and other household items. By donating to Goodwill, individuals can support the organization’s mission of helping people overcome challenges, build skills, find jobs, and grow careers, according to a news release.

The grand opening celebration will include snacks, refreshments, prizes, and giveaways. Every donor will receive a coupon for free ice cream cone from the Dalton Dari-ette – while supplies last.

Goodwill staff will also be available to answer questions about the organization and Goodwill’s Mission in Wayne and Holmes Counties. On average, every donation to Goodwill provides two hours of career training and skill building to people in the community.
