Edward Glen Howard, 100

     “Together Again”

Dalton — Edward Glen Howard, age 100, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a short period of declining health.
Glen was born on April 21, 1923, in Middle Bourne, West Virginia, to the late James and Delsie (Haught) Howard. He served in the United States Navy during  World War II. He married Ruth Billeter. She died on April 30, 2012.
He worked as the owner and operator of Howdy Distributing Company.
Glen was a member of North Main Church of Christ in Orrville. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
Surviving are three children, Linda Clinger of Dalton, Edward (Linda) Howard of Loveland, CO, and Philip (Teresa) Howard of Hermitage, TN; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Clinger of Wooster, Stephen Howard of Fort St. Lucie, FL, Rebecca (Jason) Garrett of Castle Rock, CO, Deborah (Jason) Zamora of Englewood, CO, Daniel (Megan) Howard of Nashville, TN, Amy (Ryan) Chamblee of Winston, GA, and Amanda (Justin) Eaton of Madison, TN; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends George Amstutz, Sharon Hughes, and Vicky Lendon.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Edna, Lawrence, Bernice, Bess, Ermine Andrew, Ida, John, and Esther; and a son-in-law, Joseph W. Clinger.
Friends may call on November 11, 2023, at North Main Church of Christ, 314 North Main Street, Orrville, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on November 11, 2023, at the church, with Minister Chuck Hopkins officiating.
