Shirley Ann Spears, 86

Orrville — Shirley Ann Spears, age 86, of Orrville, died Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health.

Shirley was born on April 8, 1937, in Olivett, Ohio, to the late Howard and Goldia (Davis) Gill and married William Robert on April 8, 1956, in East Richland, Ohio. William died on August 27, 2019.

She worked as a mother & homemaker.

Shirley enjoyed reading, crocheting, flower gardening, going shopping especially to thrift shops, and spending time with her children and friends.

Surviving are daughter, Marian (Mark) Warner of Doylestown; two sons, Marvin (Karen) Spears of Brewster, and Jeff (Patti) Spears of Middletown; 3 grandchildren,  Amanda (Andrew), Madison (TJ), and Tyler; 9 step-grandchildren, Keith, Erin, Terry (Kendra), Nathan (Mindy), Steven (Erica), Keith, Patience, Kristina, and Tim; 7 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; sister, Jean Robb of Barnesville.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Vera Gibbons, and Margurite Burkhart; brothers, Everette, Eugene, and Harry Gill.

Graveside services will be held at 2:15 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
