Rosemarie Vrabel, 85

Orrville — Rosemarie Vrabel, age 85, of Orrville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster, following a brief period of declining health.
Rosemarie was born on July 26, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late George Martincic and Martha (Boers) Martincic Golubski and attended Pierce City High School in Pierce City, Missouri and Marymount Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
Rosemarie was a respected psychiatric nurse for Marymount Hospital.
Rosemarie was a member of Smithville Mennonite Church, Smithville Historical Society, a quilting club that met on Tuesdays, and she spent many years wintering in Florida. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, sewing, and reading. Rosemarie was an excellent cook and baker; her meals were enjoyed by many. Rosemarie was passionate about caring for all animals; if one was sick or injured she took them in and nursed them back to health. She was a prayer warrior; everyone always came to Rosemarie for all of their prayer requests. Most of all she cherished her family. Nothing brought her more joy in life than spending time with her family and many people considered Rosemarie to be their Granny.
Surviving are daughter, Dolly (Jimmy) Hanreck; ten grandchildren, Chad Moody, Rickey (Michelle) Moody Jr., Jeremy Hendershot, Nicki (Tommy) Considine, Bill Hawes, Erin Hawes, Cody (Paige) Hanreck, Denny Hanreck, Logan Hanreck, and Max Hanreck; eleven great grandchildren, Caden, Isabel, and Lydia Considine, Rickey Moody III, Victoria Justice, Justin (Alyssa) Moody, Anthony Moody, Cheyenne Hendershot, Maison Moody, Davin Moody, and Nicole (Jesus) Flores; five great great grandchildren, Brentley White, McKenna Moody, Adeline Rose Moody, Anaya Flores, and Leo Flores; numerous nieces and nephews; and several honorary grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by children, Denny Hawes, Jeanne Cogar, Bill Hawes, and Debbie Hawes; father of their children, William Hawes; husband, Michael Vrabel; brothers, Jack,, Charlie, and Don Martincic; father, George Martincic; mother, Martha Golubski; and step-father, George Golubski.
Friends may call on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Smithville Mennonite Church, 6097 Akron Road, Smithville, from 10:30 am to 11:45 am.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, at the church, with Pastor Todd Martin officiating. Burial will take place at the Smithville Mennonite Cemetery in Smithville.
