Vicky S. (Carpenter) Stamp, 74

Dalton — Vicky S. (Carpenter) Stamp, 74, of Dalton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton, following a period of declining health.
Born on March 3, 1952, in Cambridge, Ohio, Vicky was the daughter of the late Lester and Marjorie (Bilderback) Carpenter. She grew up in New Milford and was a graduate of Rootstown High School. On January 3, 1970, she married her high school sweetheart, Harold H. Stamp, in Kent, Ohio, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than 38 years until Harold’s passing on August 7, 2008.
She was employed by Dalton Local Schools and Sonnenberg Insurance in Dalton before concluding her career in housekeeping at The J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville, where she was valued for her dedication and dependability.
Vicky found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, creating treasured handmade gifts for family and friends. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her granddaughters, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (John) Clos of Dalton; her granddaughters, Makayla Clos and Lauren Clos, both of Dalton; her sister, Cher McMillan of Versailles, Missouri; her brother, Lester Carpenter of Dalton; her aunt, Frances Gauer of Ravenna; her nephews, Adam (Bridget) Stamp of Wadsworth and Jason (Mara) Stamp of Orrville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Stamp, and her brother-in-law, Jerry Stamp.
Friends may call on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow at Dalton Cemetery.
