Dalton, Orrville, Waynedale swimmers stand out at state

Dalton, Orrville and Waynedale swimmers delivered standout performances at the 2026 Division II Ohio State Swim Meet, bringing home many Top 25 finishes and several coveted All-Ohio honors.
DALTON SOPHOMORE EXCELS
Dalton sophomore Grace Hostetler delivered one of the area’s top individual performances. She placed 16th in the 200 freestyle and 11th in the 100 Freestyle, earning All-Ohio Honors in both events. Hostetler’s results solidify her as one of the region’s rising stars with a promising future still ahead.
ORRVILLE DELIVERS STRONG PERFORMANCES
Orrville freshman Zoe Kovacs made an impressive state debut, finishing 25th in the 50 Freestyle, one of the meet’s most competitive sprint events. Fellow freshman Maddison Kraft also turned in a strong performance, placing 27th in the 100 Freestyle and 24th in the 100 Backstroke, showcasing her versatility across strokes.
Orrville’s relay teams added to the program’s success. The 200 Freestyle relay team of senior Emma Nickles, and freshmen Rozlyne Teague, Maddison Kraft, and Zoe Kovacs earned a 13th place finish and secured All- Ohio Honors, marking one of the Red Riders’ top results of the meet.

WAYNEDALE SENIOR EARNS ALL OHIO
Waynedale senior Anna Pittman closed out her high school career in style, placing 15th in the 50 Freestyle and earning her third straight All-Ohio Honors. Her finish placed her among the state’s elite sprinters and highlighted her leadership and consistency throughout the season.
Swimmers displayed impressive depth and talent, turning in performances that reflected both experience and emerging potential. With underclassmen securing state placements and several athletes earning All-Ohio recognition, the meet highlighted the strength of the Orrville Area Conglomerate swimmers and hinted at even greater achievements next season.
