DALTON  Mayor Patrick Sword resigned as mayor at the end of a special meeting Friday. Sword previously served as council president and filled the position in Spring 2024 of mayor after Mayor Blake Nussbaum resigned for health reasons. Sword opted not to receive the mayor’s salary.
