Hard work this year and experience from previous years have been factors in Dalton’s winning streak so far this season on the links.

The Bulldogs golf team is 6-0 in the Wayne County Athletic League and 9-0 overall.

“So far the season has been going well,” Coach Jeff Feller wrote in an email. “The kids are playing great and the hard work they put in during the spring and summer is paying off.”

This year is Feller’s third year coaching golf and the team has five returning varsity letter winners.

“The experience they gained last year has also played a factor in their success so far this season,” he said.

On Sept. 1, Dalton played Northwestern and won 170-183. The top four scores were Jaden Schlabach 38, Brendan Lehman 41, David Cross 45, and Trevor Horst 46.

Dalton played Waynedale Sept. 3 and won 169-171. Top four scores were Brendan Lehman 42, Preston Wenger 42, Trevor Horst 42, and Jaden Schlabach 43.
