CCS BASKETBALL: Comets burn out Flames

Central Christian School’s boys varsity basketball team faced Mansfield Christian on the road Dec. 21. The Comets burned out the Flames with a 47-40 victory.
Central held strong for the first three quarters. Mansfield Christian attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Comets denied them the chance and held on for the win.
Clay Rohrer powered Central with 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Thatcher Rohrer added 12 points, along with grabbing 11 boards. Tyler Bonner finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, one assist and four steals. Kaden Schrock ended with eight points, three boards, one assist and two steals. Caden Granger scored two points, pulled two rebounds, passed one assist and grabbed one steal. Max Irwin yanked three rebounds, in addition to two steals and one point.
The girls basketball home game was canceled Dec. 22 with plans to reschedule later in the season.
