DALTON BOYS BASKETBALL: Several Dawgs reach double figures in win over WCAL foe

It was a total team effort from Dalton High School’s varsity boys basketball team during their Jan. 15 home contest against WCAL opponent Northwestern.
Dalton’s teamwork, which ended with six players scoring double figures, paid off with the 88-70 win. The Dawgs are now 7-3 on the season and they are 7-0 in WCAL action.

The Huskies started out strong by leading 25-17 at the end of the first quarter, but then Dalton found its power in the second quarter. After a 25-point second quarter, the Dawgs held a 42-37 at the halfway point.

Braylon Wenger guided Dalton with 17 points. Ezra Miller knocked down three triples and finished with 14 points. Liam Riggenbach added 13 points. Jalen Wenger totaled 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jaden Schlabach also contributed 12 points. Dillon Horst had 10 points. Jack Steiner finished with eight points. Quentin Lehman added two points. Jaiden Malone grabbed six boards and passed five assists.
