Reason for nomination: Heather Carr works incredibly hard to provide a well-rounded musical education in spite of the pandemic. She quickly adapted her instruction to be compliant with the new COVID restrictions, and her students are grateful to still have music curriculum in their schedules. Thank you for your commitment to your students, Mrs. Carr!

What do you love about working at Dalton Local Schools?
Dalton is a great school district! We have wonderful students, who work really hard, and a fantastic team of teachers, principals, parents, and an excellent community that supports our students!

How did you get to where you are today?
I started working at Dalton in the Fall of 2001. I have been blessed with many great mentors during my life, but Marilyn Rossiter and Robin Evans-DelCiappo were probably the most influential.

Tell us an interesting fact people may be surprised to hear:
My college roommates and I took a fencing class together. None of us were very good at the sport but we had had a lot of laughs trying to learn!
