Children’s theatre group presents ‘Aesop in Fables’
KIDRON The newly formed Sonnenberg Children’s Theatre group will be performing “Aesop in Fables,” written and directed by Christa J. Wolf in conjunction with this year’s Homecoming celebration at Sonnenberg Village. A cast of 17 local children between the ages of 9-14 will stage a unique 40-minute play that intermingles the life story of famed storyteller Aesop with some of his most beloved fables including the Tortoise and the Hare, the Boy Who Cried Wolf, City Mouse and Country Mouse, and others.
Performances will be 7 p.m. Aug. 13 and 11 a.m. Aug. 14 at Sonnenberg Village Community Center, 13497 Hackett Road, Kidron, Ohio. Ticket prices: Friday, Aug. 13, adult tickets are $5, children $3, with (immediate) family rate of $20; Saturday, Aug. 14: Walk-in for a suggested donation of $3 a person. Tickets will be available first-come, first serve at the Village on Saturday morning for those who attend Homecoming. Seating is limited to 150 for both performances.

KIDRON Sonnenberg Village’s annual homecoming celebration is back this year with renewed vigor.
People of all ages will find something to enjoy at homecoming 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at 13497 Hackett Road where the old is made new again.
