Hanson, Nancy L.

DALTON – Nancy L. Hanson, age 81, passed away on October 23, 2021.

Born at home on November 11, 1939 at the Barker Place, Morris Twp. Greene County, PA to the late James J. and Lurena (Goins) Hildreth, she was a resident of Dalton since 1972. Retiring in 2000 as an administrative assistant, she had been employed by J.M. Smuckers and various other companies.  She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and quartet.  Nancy also was a member of the Dalton Garden Club and the Massillon Women’s Club.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bertil “Bert” Hanson; brothers, Carl (Alice), Ben (Bess), Curtis (Ann), Jim (Carolyn) Hildreth; sisters, Ellen (Grayson) White, Joan (Bob) Fritz; brother in-law, Dick Gibson, she is survived by her daughter, Fay (Eric) Graham of Creston; son, Paul Hanson of Massillon; grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, and Jonathan Graham; sister, Myra Joy Gibson of Rogersville, PA; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 18600 Davis Rd., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Chuck Vanasse, officiating.  Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.  A private burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
