Deitz, Wilma

Wilma Deitz, 77, passed away on December 14, 2021, after declining health.

Wilma was born on April 3rd, 1944, to the late Lewis and Arlie Miller in Uler, WV and later became a lifelong resident of Orrville.  She attended Orrville High School and married the love of her life, Theodore Deitz, on New Year’s Eve in 1963.

She was a gentle caregiver for Apple Creek Developmental Center for over 20 years.

Wilma was a caregiver by nature.  She loved deeply and without judgment.  She loved to collect many cook books, learn new recipes and prepare them for her family.  With all the heart she put into her home, it’s no surprise one of her favorite pastimes was watching old movies.

Gone before her is her husband, Theodore Deitz; daughter, Kinsie Deitz; two sisters, Kay Garretson and Rosie Miller; and brother, Sonny.

She leaves behind her two sons, Theodore Deitz and Matthew Deitz, both of Orrville; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Deb Miller of Apple Creek.
