Fox, Richard Allen

Orrville – Richard Allen Fox, age 76, of Orrville, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a period of declining health.

Richard was born on January 4, 1946, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, to the late David and Nellie (Workman) Fox.  At the age of 17, Richard enlisted in the military and served as a SP4 (Corporal) in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany.

He worked as a machinist for Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton for 32 years, retiring in 2000.

Richard was a member of the NRA and Chippewa Rifle Club.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his garage, making knives, and spending time with his close friends who considered him family.

Surviving are sisters Norma (Ray) Pauley and Sandra (Thomas) Mullins along with 4 nieces, 1 nephew, 5 great nephews, and 4 great nieces.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Fox, and brother Larry Fox.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on March 11th at 10:45, where military rites will be observed.
