Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 at the family residence with Bishop Uriah Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in the Hershberger Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the family residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
Levi Y. Hostetler, 81, of 7288 S. Kansas Road, Apple Creek, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg following a brief illness.
He was born in Holmes County on March 2, 1940 to the late Yost T. and Fannie E. (Yoder) Hostetler and married Mary J. Shetler on March 5, 1959. She died July 6, 1985. He married Emma L. (Schlabach) Hershberger on May 8, 1986 and she survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, William (Katie) Hostetler of Fredericksburg, Linda (the late Toby) Hostetler of Fredericksburg, John (Edna) Hostetler of Apple Creek, Joe (Ella) Hostetler of Wooster, Mahlon (Edna) Hostetler of Fredericksburg, Daniel (Lizzie) Hostetler of Fredericksburg, Emma (Joseph) Hostetler of Wooster, and Adonia (Sarah) Hostetler of Adamsville; a son-in-law, Mose (the late Fannie) Nisley of Fredericksburg; step-children, Atlee (Anna) Hershberger of Fredericksburg, Clara (Paul) Hostetler of Apple Creek, Paul (Neva) Hershberger of McKay, Leroy (Laura) Hershberger of Fredericksburg, and Ella (David) Hostetler of the home; 109 grandchildren; 137 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tobias (Mary) Hostetler, Daniel (Amanda) Hostetler, William (the late Lizzie) Hostetler, Eli (the late Amanda) Hostetler, Uriah (Lydia) Hostetler, and Andy (Clara); sisters, Emma (Mahlon) Shetler, Barbara (Dan) Miller, Fannie (Joni) Miller, Mary (Johnny) Miller; brother-in-law, Bill Byler; sister-in-law, Edna Hostetler.
