Weeman, Roy David

ORRVILLE — Roy David Weeman, age 93, went to his reward on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Kelly at Las Cruses, New Mexico in 1955.

As a boy he attended Carr road one room schoolhouse. He later graduated from Apple Creek High School and then became a graduate of Office Training School in Columbus.
Roy graduated as an Army Military Policeman and served at the White Sands Proving Grounds NM.  After discharge he returned to the home farm, working as a dairy farmer the rest of his life.
Their six children were all raised on the farm. One of his greatest joys was being able to work alongside his children on a daily basis and attend their school events. Grandchildren were a further enjoyment to him.
Other loves were golf, playing euchre, dancing, fishing, and pitching for softball teams at their winter home in Florida.
Surviving are his six children, Dr. John (Jeanne) Weeman of Wooster, Daniel (Tiffany) Weeman of Orrville, Ann (Jeff) Yoder of Massillon, Elaine (Gary) Troyer of Shreve, Steven (Barbara) Weeman of Orrville, and Dr. Ben (Dr. Kisa) Weeman of Wooster; grandchildren, Dr. Jack Weeman, Elizabeth Weeman, Alyson (Derek) Kazee, Brent Weeman, Sean Weeman, Bailey Musselman, Jacob Musselman, Ryan Yoder, Tim (Brittani) Yoder, Dr. Mark Yoder,
Seth Troyer, Neal Troyer, Cally Troyer, Glenn (Julie) Weeman, Dr. Mitch (Dr. Angela) Weeman, Brandon Weeman, Joel Weeman, and David Weeman; three great grandchildren; Lyle, Tobias and Brock; four siblings, Mary Tschiegg, Karen Maxwell, Dick Weeman, and James (Margaret) Weeman; brother-in-law, Richard Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Roy in death were grandson, Jonathan Carl Troyer; both parents, John and Alice Weeman; brothers, Ross Earl and William Weeman; brothers-in-law, Robert Tschiegg and John Maxwell; and sisters-in-law, Betty and Carolyn Weeman.
Friends may call on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm or from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the service at Orrville Christian Church on Tuesday.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Orrville Christian Church, 925 North Elm Street, Orrville, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, where military rites will be observed.
