Kidron’s Hofstetter wins Republican primary for Wayne County Commissioner

A local firefighter and Sugar Creek Township trustee from Kidron has won the primary election for Wayne County Commissioner on the Republican ticket.

According to the Wayne County Board of Elections website, in unofficial results, Jonathan Hofstetter had 7,800 votes to Richard Frazier’s 4,483.

For the Democratic primary, Karla DeMali, has 38 write-in votes, according to a Summary Report on Wayne County Board of Elections website.

A seat on the three-member board will be open next year when Becky Foster completes her term and had chosen not to run again.
