Marty Wilson, 68

“Marty Wilson, a compassionate soul, born on December 3, 1956, in Orrville, OH, journeyed to the Lord’s side on March 1, 2025, after his courageous nine-month battle with cancer. Marty, with his thoughtful nature and loyal heart, was a beacon of strength and kindness. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steadfast friend. His legacy revolves around his unyielding strength, which made him a “rock” to those around him.
Marty was a man of integrity and hard work, exemplified in his 30-year tenure as a Construction Superintendent. His dedication and commitment to his craft were unparalleled, influencing those who worked alongside him. He carried these qualities into his personal life as well, creating a home filled with love and understanding in North Canton, Ohio. Marty found his lifelong partner in Karla, whom he married on June 27, 1989, and their love story is one for the ages. Their son, Elliott, is a testament to their enduring love and shared values.
Marty was the cherished son of Wanda and Wilbur Wilson, who have preceded him in passing along with his brother Joe. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Karla, his son Elliott, siblings Terry (Elsie) Wilson, Vicky Menges, Margo (Larry) Huff, and Lonnie (John) Wilson. And of course a host of friends and extended family. His life and his lessons will continue to resonate, ensuring his memory lives on.
The family encourages everyone to leave memories and upload photos to Marty’s memorial page to keep his spirit alive. Marty Wilson was an amazing man whose life was a testament to his compassionate, thoughtful, and loyal nature.
