Malinda Chupp, 82

Malinda Chupp, 82, of Dalton, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.

She was born in Geauga County on January 23, 1944 to the late Jonas and Barbara (Miller) Hershberger and had lived in the Dalton area for the last 43 years.  Malinda retired in 2018 as a real estate agent.

She is survived by her children, John Chupp of Canal Fulton, Allen (Amy) Chupp of North Lawrence and Laura Chupp of Orrville. She has six grandchildren Weston, Nyree, Colter, Alyson, Amber and Coleman; siblings, Katie (Monroe) Schmucker, Lydia (Henry) Miller, Abner (Mary Ann) Hershberger, Fannie (John) Burkholder and Barbara (John) Miller; a sister-in-law, Sarah (late Melvin) Hershberger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Aden Chupp Jr.; a daughter, Mary Ann Chupp; her former husband, Aden Chupp; and a brother, Melvin Hershberger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.  Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
