Peggy A. Baringer, 79

KIDRON — Peggy A. Baringer, age 79, of Seville, formerly of Kidron, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Peggy was born on July 3, 1946, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Lester and Helen (Beery) Ault. She graduated from Smithville High School in 1964 and went on to marry the love of her life, William J. “Bill” Baringer, on June 15, 1969, at Marshallville United Methodist Church. Together they shared nearly 46 years of marriage before Bill’s passing on March 9, 2015.
A dedicated and dependable professional, Peggy worked as a secretary for Roland Law Office for more than 20 years, retiring in 2013.
Peggy was a faithful member of both East Greenville United Methodist Church and Marshallville United Methodist Church. Her love of music was evident through her years of playing the organ for church services. She found joy in collecting antiques, the Cleveland Indians, and caring for her beloved dogs and cats. Some of her happiest memories were made during vacations to Canada, where she and Bill spent countless hours fishing and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors together.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lori (Dave) Skelton of Seville; her son, Steven J. (Jennifer) Baringer of Akron; her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Avery Skelton of Seville; her brother, Dennis (Judy) Ault of Smithville; her sister-in-law, Mary Baker of Apache Junction, Arizona; and extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wellspring Hospice, 3905 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH 44053.
